Don’t you just love friends who talk to you about stuff that will eventually make your weekend horrendous? I don’t really blame Vinny, though – he’s just trying to be helpful. But after our conversation – I’m considering making the jump. And true to my usual self, when I want to do something I do it now – not later . . . so I’m thinking maybe this weekend? He and I talked a great deal tonight about WordPress tonight – - and am spending some time at that site and browsing through the forums to see if it’s really, really worth making the change – like Vinny said it is. They now have a script that converts MT to WP – and from what I understand, it takes seconds to install.
I’ll learn more about it and see if it has features that are different that I absolutely have to have in order for me to live my quiet life happily. Look for WP updates!
**UPDATE**
Small update – - but a worthy one if you’re at all interested in WordPress. I installed WP one of my unused domains. It took all of 5 minutes:
1. Set up MYSQL database
2. Run the intall script
3. Done.
Now I need to play with it and figure out all the ins and outs of it before I try to implement it on any of my active blogs. Let me just say – it’s pretty slick.

I think, now that the script is out, I may play with it over the weekend. If the snow keeps up, I won’t be going anywhere anyway

Heck I’m still trying to learn the ins and outs of MT now there is something new and fun on top of that – - I better start studying!
