Learn WordPress from the BEST! Lisa Sabin-Wilson's latest WordPress for Dummies book is the best book available at this time for WordPress newbies. CitizenX
Amazon Review I’ve seen some parts of this book already (the full thing is winging it’s way from the US as I write this) and it is a great read and well worthwhile the purchase for those starting out with and wanting to extend their knowledge of a blog platform that more ProBlogger readers use than any other. Darren Rowse
ProBlogger.com We recommend WordPress for Dummies by Lisa Sabin-Wilson. Very good starter guide.@WordPress
Official WordPress Tweet Lisa has done it again with the 3rd edition of WordPress for Dummies. This is the only book I recommend for any one interested in learning WordPress. If Lisa's name is on it, you will not be disappointed! Brad Williams
Author: Professional WordPress and owner: WebDevStudios.com Ms Sabin-Wilson's book was the best of the lot, being at that time the only book on the market addressing the new features in WordPress Version 3.0. I used her code to structure new templates for a couple of the static pages. The book is a good introduction to neophytes and experienced web developers.

Amazon Review I've seen the book she authors, and can fully appreciate the wealth of knowledge she has published for others....I first came across Lisa through her own blog, and find her to be an excellent communicator. Very friendly too. David Airey
design author and brand identity designer Lisa Sabin-Wilson is a subject matter authority on WordPress and BuddyPress. Her book is well written and Lisa Sabin-Wilson understands the heart and soul of the blogger and what they need.. Edje
Amazon Review Lisa is one of my favorite "For Dummies" authors. She wrote a book that I was personally in need of, and that filled a huge void in the marketplace. She's easy to work with, has great ideas, and is always willing to try something new. Ellen Gerstein
Director of Marketing, John Wiley and Sons ...Sabin-Wilson is, in my opinion, one of the best technical writers around. Her language is clear, uncluttered and free of artifice. Jerry Saperstein
Amazon Top 100 Reviewer As an active (and successful) web designer using WordPress, she's in code almost every day and I've leaned on her knowledge and asked her input and feedback many, many times for our own WP projects. Cory Miller

Hmmmm – - I’d say it floods
Floods . . then freezes.
We’re about to break out the ice skates over here!
I can’t honestly say I’d considered it much before now…LOL
Uhhmm….flooding?
My sister does it deliberately each winter for her boys to skate on, She builds it up layer by layer so it is solid ice, safer than skating on a pond.
So, how are you liking the rain that we in California sent you?
Oooh pretty!! I’d love to live in WI someday.
Sounds like fun
Lisa- I watch for your weather reports because usually MI gets your conditions within 48 hours. What a mess! This has been the oddest week in a long time. Are your trees (schrubs) going to make it? We have flood warnings in our area. The rivers are up!
It is raining in Florida…. yesterday it was 87. 87 is just not right for January
Looks about like our driveway did for around a week. That inch of freezing rain was NOT nice!
*ding, dong*
Hi, my name is Jeanette. Can I come in?
*ice skates in hand*
Hello! Unfortunately, I have no fun ice skating rink… but all over Madison, I’m slipping & landing right on my TUSH because of all this ice!!
I totally love ice skating!!! I’m going here (KY) on Sunday …but NOT IN MY BACKYARD ..That’s way to kewl! H*LL …make a few bucks ..start charging admission!
Pam – they’re little evergreens – and I hope they’ll make it! It’s still frozen solid down there .. poor little things.
How’s the weather up in MN?
Jeanette – come on over – - bring to cocoa, I’ve got the marshmallows!
Principessa – hey neighbor!
This winter is weird, man – - bad bad for skiing so far, too
strawberrie – excellent idea!
I miss the midwest..goofy weather and all. We had 70 and balmy yesterday and 18 today. But no snow yet this year..hmmph. And our skiing is nil this season, too.
~L.
i’m in india. here people (who can afford it) take vacations and travel on hills just to see some snow.
Weather is flipping cold! I don’t mind cold, but waking up and running out to start the truck because it’s 15 below before I hop into the shower is just no good! At least I’ve chipped most of the ice off the deck, at least the new deck.
All you need is a chain saw!\:d/
