It Won't Last Forever

For the past 2-3 months, as I’ve blogged, Chris has been out of town on business. Last week, he came home and will be here for 3-4 weeks. I missed him — but I know business is business, so I dealt with it. Every week, he would say – - “This phase will only last about 2 more months, baby – - then it will be done. It won’t be like this forever, I promise.”

Ok.

Tonight, I sat down next to him. He was working and had the TV on because he can’t work without background noise. I said, “Can I change the channel – or are you totally entrenched in this?” Since it was just background noise and not something he was ‘into’ – he said he didn’t mind if I changed the channel.

So I did.

I changed it to FoxNews.

He looked over at me and said, “How much cable news can you take in a day?”

…”The election will be over in about two months, baby – - it won’t be like this forever, I promise”
