Elizabeth Edwards was diagnosed with cancer yesterday – on a day when her husband and John Kerry were conceeding the Presidential race. Wow – talk about a double whammy. This is really sad. From what I’ve read, her type of cancer is non-fatal with early treatment – however, that generally involved chemo/radiation or, at worst, surgical treatment. Apparently, she found the lump a week, or so, ago – but put off diagnosis until the race was over. This had to have been more than hard for her, and her family.
I wish the best to her, and her family, as they start the process of dealing with this new diagnosis. I just couldn’t imagine it – - and I think it’s time to schedule my annual mammogram, as much as I HATE that whole thing!

Wow, that’s terrible. Good wishes to both her and Deanna Favre.
